Dental Radiographs (X-rays)

A complete dental examination should include radiographs, or x-rays, of any teeth that show discoloration, fractures, enamel wear, or have deep pockets. Much of dental disease is hidden below the gum line and is not visible without an x-ray. The Animal Hospital of Waynesboro has a radiographic unit specifically for taking tooth x-rays. This is crucial for evaluating the health of the underlying bone, tooth roots and tooth pulp.
