The doctors and licensed veterinary technicians at the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro are dedicated to the proper care of our surgical patients, from anesthetic safety to pain management.  Our state-of-the-art surgical suite offers a heated surgical table and vital monitors including a doppler blood pressure monitor and pulse-oximeter for measuring your pet's oxygen level while under anesthesia.  All pets undergoing surgery receive a complete physical examination prior to anesthesia.  We utilize the safest available anesthetics for your pet's well-being.

We utilize multi-modal pain management which means using a combination of drugs to attack the different pathways that cause pain and swelling.

The Animal Hospital of Waynesboro offers elective surgical procedures such as spays, neuters and declaws.  We also perform a large variety of soft-tissue surgeries including tumor removal, bladder and gastro-intestinal surgery and many more.  In addition, Dr. Lorenz performs a variety of orthopedic surgeries, including corrective surgery for ruptured anterior cruciate ligament of the knee, correction of dislocating patella, and limited fracture repair.

The Animal Hospital of Waynesboro also performs cryosurgery, which involves freezing of tissues, and radiowave surgery, using radiowaves to incise tissues to decrease bleeding, postoperative pain and swelling.
