Darcie Martin, Practice Manager:   Darcie grew up in Waynesboro and graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in history.   She joined the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro in 1989 and became Practice Manager in 2004.  She loves the daily variety at the Animal Hospital, the staff, and the clients and patients.  Darcie is pictured with her cat, Lucy.  



Crystal Harris, LVT:  Crystal, a Licensed Veterinary Technician, graduated from Blue Ridge Community College with an AAS degree in Animal Sciences/Veterinary Technology in 2002.  She was awarded Summa Cum Laude, with a 4.0 GPA, and received Vet Tech Student of the Year award.  She has been employed by The Animal Hospital of Waynesboro since 2001.  Her professional interests include dentistry, whelping and neonatal care and liver disease in toy breeds.  She belongs to the Yorkshire Terrier Rescue.  Crystal is pictured here with her dogs Winston, Pearl, Tramp, Able and Eve.



Kimberly Barry, LVT:  Kim, a Licensed Veterinary Technician, graduated from Blue Ridge Community College with an AAS degree in Animal Sciences/Veterinary Technology in 1998.  She has been employed by the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro since 2003.  Her professional interests include feral cats and orthopedics.   She has been working in the field since 1995.  Kim is pictured with her dog Iko. 

 


Brenda Anderson, LVT:  Brenda, a Licensed Veterinary Technician graduated from Blue Ridge Community College with an AAS degree in Business Administration.  In 1984 she decided Veterinary Technology was more to her liking and she received an AAS degree in that field.  Brenda continued her education and in 2006 completed the summer program at BRCC in Veterinary Dentistry.  She has been employed at The Animal Hospital of Waynesboro since 2004.  Her professional interests include dog obedience and veterinary dentistry.  She is pictured with her dog Winnie.  



Genny Rogers, LVT:  Genny, a Licensed Veterinary Technician, graduated from Blue Ridge Community College with an AAS degree in Animal Sciences/Veterinary Technology in 2008.  Genny has been working in the veterinary medical field since 2004.  She has been employed at the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro since 2005.  Genny is pictured here with her dogs Lilly and Stella.

 

Aditya Singh, LVT: Aditya graduated Cum Laude from Blue Ridge Community College in 2001.  While he attended school, he worked at the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro.  He also spent several years working at Virginia Tech's College of Veterinary Medicine.  He joined the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro full time in 2010.  His proefession insterest include dentistry and orthopedis.  In his free time, he enjoys cooking, sports and the outdoors.  He is pictured here with one of his favorite patients.


Donna Ownby, Groomer & Assistant:  Donna started her education in animal grooming as a bather at the Ambassador Animal Hospital in Richmond, VA.  She assisted the groomer in all aspects of pet grooming and decided to pursue it as a career.  Donna joined the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro in 1987 where she continued to craft her trade with seminars, books and on the job training.  During her tenure at the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro, Donna has educated herself in all aspects of animal care which enables her to assist in many capacities throughout the hospital.  Donna is a Pennsylvanian by birth, but considers Waynesboro her home. 



Corinne Baumbach, Technician Assistant:  Corrine has been with the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro since February 2008 and has loved every minute and aspect of her duties.  Corinne is a California native relocated here to the Shenandoah Valley from Montana, with her husband and three children.  She has had a lifetime filled with animals from the Mojave Desert such as tortoises and rodents to frogs, salamanders and dogs.  Her special interest is herpetology - the study of reptiles and amphibians.  She is currently working on a career change at BRCC, she is looking forward to a future in animal care as a Veterinary Technician.  Corinne is featured here with her dogs Cheddar and Gromit and her desert tortoises Mo & Jo.



Marilyn Simon, Receptionist:  Marilyn began her career as a veterinarian receptionist in 1999.  She has been employed at the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro since 2003.  Before moving to Waynesboro 11 years ago, Marilyn managed a gift and stationery store in Tennessee.  She knows many of the clients and their families and enjoys providing them with information in order for them to take the best possible care of their pets.   Marilyn is pictured here with her dogs Sadie and Tess.




Kelli Christ, Receptionist:  Kelli has been employed at the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro since 2005.  She enjoys interacting with the clients, many of whom she knows from living in Waynesboro most of her life.  She enjoys the fast pace at the office.  Helping clients is her main objective.  She is pictured here with her cat Marty.





Melanie Humphries, Receptionist:  Melanie has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Goucher College in Towson, MD.  She has been employed at the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro since December 2007.  After almost 20 years as a "stay at home" Mom and public school volunteer, she decided to re-enter the work world.  Thanks to the wonderful staff at the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro her transition has been very smooth.  She has raised many pets and enjoys meeting and helping clients and their pets.  She is pictured with her cat Phoebe.

 

 

Lianne Minnis, Receptionist:  Lianne, who has lived in Waynesboro for most of her life, has been employed at the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro since May 2010 and has thoroughly enjoyed it since. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in dietetics. She hopes to eventually adopt a dog in the near future, but as for now, she enjoys getting to know the patients that come through the hospital doors. Her favorite part of her job is becoming familiar with the special relationships that clients have with their beloved pets.

 

 

Jenny Anderson, Receptionist: Jenny graduated from the University of Virginia in 2010 with a degree in Sociology and Studies in Women and Gender.  Her love for animals brought her to the Animal Hospital in the fall of 2010, and she loves meeting all the cute, cuddly, and quirky animals that come to AHW.  She is also a part time student, taking classes in preparation for nursing school, where she hopes to ultimately receive her degree in Midwifery.
